What is the ruling on a Muslim sister going out with her non-Muslim female colleagues and her non-Muslim boss to cafés for work? Does the ruling differ based on the change of place, and what is the ruling on going to these cafés in general?

The Sharia calls for a woman to remain in her home and to avoid mixing with men. If she is commanded to avoid mixing with Muslims, then it is even more fitting for her to be prohibited from working as a secretary for a disbelieving man, especially if her job requires her to go out to cafes where forbidden acts are committed. She must be advised to leave this job and repent. It is not permissible to go to these cafes if they are places where forbidden acts occur, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not sit at a table where alcohol is served."
