Is it permissible to follow those who rely on the sighting of the crescent moon for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and then follow those who rely on the announcement of the moon sighting in the Sacred House of Allah (Mecca) for Eid al-Adha?

The majority of jurists hold that the difference in moonrise locations is not taken into consideration, so whenever the sighting of the Ramadan crescent is confirmed in one country, fasting becomes obligatory for all Muslims. However, the Shafi'is and some Hanafis are of the view that each country has its own sighting, and this is the preferred and fatwa-given opinion in the network. Based on this, it is permissible to follow those who search for the crescent in Ramadan and Dhu al-Hijjah, and there is no objection to the day of Eid al-Adha varying in different countries due to the difference in moonrise locations. It is also permissible to adopt the other opinion, as long as the intention is not to merely seek out concessions.
