The presentation of people's deeds to Allah Almighty occurs on Mondays and Thursdays, as established in Sahih Muslim. As for their elevation to Allah, the Exalted, it is mentioned in Sunan An-Nasa'i. The elevation of deeds does not necessarily imply their immediate presentation; the elevation might occur first, followed by the presentation. It is stated in a hadith in Muslim: "The deeds of people are presented every week twice, on Monday and Thursday. So every believer is forgiven, except for a person between whom and his brother there is animosity. It is said: 'Delay these two until they reconcile.'" Ibn Hajar said: "And this does not contradict their elevation in Sha'ban."
