Is it permissible or forbidden to falsify a graduation certificate to obtain a promotion at work?

What is fabricated from forging a graduation certificate is lying, deception, and fraud, which are Islamically forbidden, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And shun false statements," and on the Prophet’s (PBUH) saying: "Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the great sins?... Beware, and false speech and false witness," and on his saying: "Whoever deceives is not of us," and on his saying: "Whoever deceives us is not of us, and trickery and deception lead to Hell," and on his saying: "The one who pretends to have been given what he has not been given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood." It is obligatory to repent to Allah from this sin.
