هل اللانولين (دهن/شمع صوف الغنم) حلال أم حرام؟

Lanolin is a fatty substance extracted from sheep's wool. There is no harm in consuming food that contains it, whether the sheep was slaughtered according to Islamic law or not, because the predominant opinion is that all animal hair is pure, even if the animal was not slaughtered. And even if it were to be said that the wool of an unslaughtered animal is impure, lanolin transforms into another substance through istihalah (chemical transformation), thus becoming pure and permissible.
