The answer

The ill effects of sins may extend to one's provision and offspring. Piety towards Allah is a means of protecting one's children, while negligence and sins are a cause for the loss of children and relatives. Punishment may befall those among a people if Allah wills to punish them, and then they will be resurrected according to their deeds. If Allah wills to inflict vengeance upon His servants, He may cause children to die and women's wombs to become barren. Punishment for sins may afflict children and encompass widespread misfortune. If you observe something undesirable in your child, then remove your Lord's displeasure through repentance.
