Is it permissible to try parachuting from an airplane, and is someone who dies while doing so considered to have committed suicide?

Parachuting, if for military training purposes to prepare forces against enemies, is commanded by Allah's saying: (And prepare against them whatever you are able of power). However, if it is for sport and entertainment, it is not permissible. Its minimum status is disliked (Makrooh) if safety is predominantly assured. But if it is predominantly thought to cause destruction or harm, then it is forbidden, due to Allah's saying: (And do not kill yourselves).
