Among the wife's rights are good companionship, financial support (nafaqa), clothing, and housing. The wife is not entitled to a monthly allowance in addition to her financial support. The husband is not obligated to write over a portion of his wealth to her, and she does not have the right to demand this from him as an obligation or by threatening insubordination (nushooz).
