The father erred in abandoning his wife's treatment and expelling her, and he must repent. A will that disinherits an heir or resorts to deceptive gifts or fictitious sales is not permissible. Thus, the mother's fictitious sale, intended to disinherit the husband, is an unlawful and void "tahawwuj" (legal artifice). What the mother left behind is considered an inheritance to be divided among all heirs, including the husband, after settling debts and executing any valid bequests.
