Is it permissible to curse someone who defecates in the street, based on what I have read that suggests this, other than the hadiths "Beware of those who invoke curses"?

According to the more authoritative opinion, it is not permissible to specifically curse someone who relieves himself in people's pathways, even if the apparent meaning of some scholars' statements suggests its permissibility. In "Subul al-Salam," it states that one who relieves himself in people's pathways harms them and causes them to curse him. If cursing him is permissible, then he has brought upon himself a supplication to be deprived of mercy. If it is not permissible, then he has caused others to sin by cursing him. There are indeed hadiths indicating that he deserves to be cursed, among them: "Whoever harms Muslims in their pathways, their curse becomes obligatory upon him," and "Whoever excretes his filth in a pathway of the Muslims, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people."
