What is the ruling on saying: "I seek to please my Lord and my parents, and refuge is sought in Allah from that"?

There is no objection to using the phrase "pleasing one's parents is an attainable goal" because pleasing parents is a religious requirement, and it is something that Allah the Almighty loves. It has been stated in the : "The pleasure of the Lord is from the pleasure of the father." Just as pleasing the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is from pleasing Allah, so too is pleasing one's parents from pleasing Allah the Almighty.
