What is the ruling on laughter accompanied by snoring, whether intentional or unintentional?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

You must strive as much as possible to control yourself when laughing so that this sound does not emanate from you. This is out of complete adab (proper conduct), muru'ah (chivalry/manliness), and good emulation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, whose laughter was mostly a smile. As for the snoring that occurs unintentionally, you are not held accountable for it, but it is contrary to adab.
