Is it forbidden to photograph a man with his friends?

Photographing living beings is forbidden in Islam, and the one who does it is sinful, because it involves imitating Allah's creation, and because it might be a means to temptation or polytheism. The sin falls upon everyone who directly undertakes the photographing, or commissions it, or assists in it, unless it is out of necessity, such as pictures for nationality documents or passports.
