Is a person considered sinful before God if he resorts to masturbation due to sexual fantasies he cannot resist, especially if he currently lacks the means to marry?

It has been previously stated that the ruling on masturbation (self-abuse) is prohibition. Therefore, one must repent and seek forgiveness, and increase in acts of obedience. Furthermore, constantly remembering Allah, reciting the Qur'an with reflection, and choosing righteous companionship that encourages good are among the means to avoid this sin and demonic whisperings.
