What is the ruling on masturbation and the accompanying forbidden fantasies and lusts and disbelief—God forbid—and what is the path to sincere repentance, knowing that the questioner pledges to God not to return to the sin?
Satan causes a person to fall into major disbelief (kufr akbar). A Muslim must take heed of what has befallen him and cut off Satan's path by adhering to obedience to Allah and avoiding His prohibitions.
The door of repentance is open to everyone as long as the sun has not risen from the West or one has not witnessed death. Whatever the sins may be, Allah forgives all of them for those who repent and transforms their bad deeds into good deeds, for Allah rejoices at the repentance of His servant.
One must achieve sincere repentance by regretting sins, abandoning them, and having a firm resolve not to return to them.
Initiating marriage is a means of protecting one's chastity.
