If a person seeks your advice and you ask him for qualities that are not present in your friend, or you tell him something contrary to reality, this is deception and betrayal, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who is consulted is entrusted," and "Whoever deceives is not of us." It is obligatory for you to repent and seek forgiveness from the one you misled.
