Is it permissible to raise one's hands during supplication for the deceased immediately after their burial?

Raising the hands after the third takbira in the funeral prayer to supplicate for the deceased is not legislated and is an innovation. Some scholars have explicitly stated its detestability. As for supplicating for the deceased outside of the prayer, it is recommended to raise the hands, because the default is that raising the hands in supplication is desirable.
