"A defect occurring in the sold item after its possession is the responsibility of the buyer, unless it is attributable to a cause predating the possession, in which case it is the responsibility of the seller. Guaranteeing the sold item is permissible if it pertains to the item's soundness and freedom from defects. However, if it is a general guarantee covering everything that might happen to the item, it is prohibited due to the presence of gharar (excessive uncertainty). Therefore, if the damage that occurred is related to a defect present before the sale, the seller must guarantee it; otherwise, he is not obligated to re-install the door."
