1- What is the ruling on selling televisions and similar devices to a non-Muslim?

The ruling on television and similar devices depends on the type of use. If it is known that the buyer will use it for something forbidden, then selling it is forbidden, because it is an aid to those who commit evil. If it is known that he will use it for something permissible, then selling it is permissible. However, if the user's purpose is not known, then one should consider the predominant use among people. If the predominant use is forbidden, then it is forbidden; otherwise, it is permissible. What has been said about selling these devices applies to both disbelievers and others, because, according to the more sound opinion of scholars, disbelievers are addressed by the ancillary rulings of Islamic law.
