We advise you to occupy yourself with seeking religious knowledge through a correct methodology, and to be extremely cautious of tracking and examining شبهات; because that may harm a person's faith, for hearts are weak and one may not be able to remove a شبهة that has settled within it. The imams of the Salaf, despite their knowledge and piety, used to avoid hearing شبهات, as Ibn Tawus did when he ordered his son to plug his ears so that he would not hear anything from a man speaking about predestination, and he said: "Indeed, the heart is weak." Al-Dhahabi said: "Most of the imams of the Salaf adhered to this warning, believing that hearts are weak and شبهات are snatchers."
