Is constantly creating problems with one's wife and threatening her with deprivation of her rights—as a desire for divorce without explicitly stating it—considered a divorce? And is it permissible for a husband to prevent his wife from studying after he had agreed to it as a condition from her father?

A husband must treat his wife kindly, with gentle words and good deeds, and not harm her with words or actions. Harming one's wife is forbidden and contrary to kind treatment, and one must repent from it. Abusive words directed at the wife do not result in divorce unless they are explicit words or a veiled expression accompanied by the intention [of divorce]. If the husband stipulated to the wife that he would not prevent her from studying, he must fulfill this condition, as long as the studies do not violate Islamic morals. The wife has the right to seek annulment if the husband does not fulfill the condition.
