Is it permissible to play with dice if it is not a real-life game but a computer game?

Previous fatwas have clarified that every game involving dice is forbidden, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever plays with nardashir (dice) is as if he had dipped his hand in the flesh and blood of a pig," narrated by Muslim. There is no difference between the game being on a device or external to it, due to the generality of the hadith (definition)'s text.
