Does the paternal aunt inherit?

The paternal aunt is considered among the "Dhawi al-Arham" (relatives by blood or kinship), who are every close relative who is neither a "Dhu Fard" (entitled to a fixed share) nor an "Asabah" (agnate/residual heir). They fall into four categories. The paternal aunt does not inherit if any of the deceased's "Asabah" or "Ahl al-Furood" (those entitled to fixed shares) are present, with the exception of the wife. If the wife is present, she is given her full prescribed share, and the remainder is taken by the paternal aunt and other Dhawi al-Arham with her.
