What is the meaning of silence regarding that for which no text has been revealed concerning the Names of Allah, the Most High? And does it mean not definitively negating or affirming any name for which there is no mention in the Qur’an and Sunnah, even if it is the name of a human, an inanimate object, or a bird?

The names of Allah Almighty are tawqifiyyah (restricted to divine revelation); thus, Allah is not named except by what He has named Himself or what His Messenger has named Him. It is not permissible to add to or subtract from them. Therefore, what the Shari'ah has affirmed, we affirm; what it has negated, we negate. As for what it has remained silent about, we examine it: if its meaning is false, we negate it; if it is true, we affirm its meaning with a shar'i (religiously sound) term. If its evidence is unknown, we remain silent about it, neither affirming nor negating it. Absolute silence regarding negating any name from Allah is false, for Allah is free from the names of humans, inanimate objects, or birds.
