The answer

If a Muslim man divorces his Christian wife with three pronouncements, and she then marries a Christian man in a valid marriage and he consummates the marriage with her, and then he divorces her and her iddah (waiting period) expires, she becomes lawful for her first Muslim husband. This is based on the generality of Allah's statement: (And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband. And if he [the latter husband] divorces her, there is no blame upon them [the former husband and former wife] for returning to each other if they think that they can keep [within] the limits of Allah) Al-Baqarah/230, where the Christian man is considered a husband. This is the view of the majority of scholars.
