Is misconstruing Allah, the Most High, represented by a servant's assumption that his deeds and prayers are not accepted?

The fear of worship not being accepted, if it stems from a servant's apprehension of falling short in its performance, is not a bad assumption about Allah. Rather, it is one of the characteristics of believers who are keen on acts of obedience and fear that they may not be accepted from them, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "And those who give what they give while their hearts are trembling because they know that to their Lord they will return." This fear must be accompanied by the hope of acceptance from Allah.

However, if the fear results from the assumption that Allah does not accept sincere acts of obedience, then this is a bad assumption about Allah; because Allah has promised to accept righteous deeds and that He does not waste the reward of those who do good, as mentioned in His Almighty's saying: "Indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds."
