Is it permissible to rename a newborn sometime after their birth?

There is no harm in changing a newborn's name after birth. It must be changed if the name is forbidden, such as one that indicates servitude to other than Allah (like Abd al-Husayn or Abd al-Nabi), and it is recommended to change it if it is disliked.
