What is the ruling on buying stolen books, when the buyer knows they are stolen, and with the intention of reading and gaining knowledge?

If you know that books are stolen, it is not permissible for you to buy them, because this is forbidden for anyone who is certain that the goods offered for sale are stolen or usurped, or that the one offering them does not legally own them and is not an agent for their sale.
