What is the ruling on buying a car from Al Baraka Bank if the bank first buys it and then sells it to the client in installments, with the car remaining in the bank's name until full payment, and without imposing an additional charge on the client in case of late payment?

It is permissible to purchase a car through the bank if three conditions are met:

1. The bank must genuinely purchase the car and take possession of it before selling it to the customer, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying to Hakim ibn Hizam: "If you buy something, do not sell it until you take possession of it," and his saying to Zayd ibn Thabit: "He forbade selling goods where they are bought until merchants move them to their own places."

2. The contract must be free of any condition imposing a penalty for late payment of installments.

3. It is permissible to mortgage the car to the bank or for the bank to retain the contract document and registration until the installments are paid.
