What is the ruling on performing prostration of gratitude in a public hall with hundreds of people, or praying in university corridors designated for passage, and would that alienate non-Muslims from Islam?

It is permissible for a Muslim to pray in public places where non-Muslims can see them, provided that they do not inconvenience passersby. This act can be a silent call to Islam, and many have embraced Islam by seeing Muslims praying with reverence and humility. Sheikh Muhammad Ismail al-Muqaddim mentioned that seeing Muslims praying was the first seed for the guidance of a large number of people to Islam. Furthermore, the Tablighi Jamaat is concerned with this matter and prays in public places to establish proof against non-Muslims and remind them of their deprivation of this great blessing.
