Is it permissible to take a prescribed vitamin pill after Suhoor in Ramadan?

Allah Almighty has permitted eating and drinking until the dawn breaks, and prohibited them thereafter, with no distinction between food and medicine. This is based on His saying: ﴿And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]﴾. And based on the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Indeed, Bilal calls the Adhan at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum calls the Adhan," and "Let not Bilal's Adhan prevent any of you from his suhoor, for he calls the Adhan to make your standing one return and to awaken your sleeping one." Accordingly, it is permissible to take medicine after suhoor and before the dawn breaks.
