What did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, mean by his saying to the Bedouin: "Indeed, His Throne and His heavens are like this," while pointing with his fingers like a dome?
Abu Dawud narrated a hadith from Jubayr ibn Mut'im that a Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for rain and said: "We seek intercession through you with Allah, and we seek intercession through Allah with you." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, denounced this and glorified Allah, explaining that Allah's status is too great for Him to be interceded with on behalf of any of His creation, and he described the greatness of His Throne. Sheikh Al-Albani graded this hadith as weak.
