Sitting to remember Allah after Fajr prayer until sunrise is a desirable . However, this does not mean establishing remembrance in an innovated manner that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions did not do. So, if the remembrance is done collectively, or with a specific number not sanctioned by Islamic law, and they believe it to be a Sunnah on a particular day, then their gathering is not permissible, and one should not sit with them.
