What are the things for which a woman can demand divorce?

Divorce is the most hated of permissible acts to Allah, and it is not permissible for a woman to seek divorce without a legitimate reason, otherwise, she would be sinful. It has been narrated in the Hadith: "Any woman who asks her husband for a divorce without any harm (justification) will be forbidden the scent of Paradise." And "A woman should not ask her husband for a divorce for no good reason, lest she not find the scent of Paradise."

As for the reasons that permit a woman to seek divorce, they include clear harm from the husband, such as ill-treatment, or not fulfilling her conjugal rights, or harm through insults and abuse, or taking her money unjustly. Among the justifications for seeking divorce is also the corruption of the husband's religiosity.
