What is the ruling on one who is forced by their family to cheat in school exams, and is there any accountability upon them if they do cheat?

Cheating in exams or other matters is not permissible, and it is not permissible to obey parents in this regard; for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. The student should study his lessons and reassure his parents that he will answer well, and that he has done what is required of him in terms of studying. It is not permissible to obey them in this wrongdoing, and whoever commits it will be sinful.
