Is women's prayer valid if they perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) after an imam who did not perform it?

The congregants, upon realizing that the Imam did not prostrate but instead bowed, must then bow themselves and follow the Imam for the remainder of the prayer. They are excused for falling behind the Imam in this situation because their delay is due to a valid excuse. However, if they do not do so, they are then required to perform an extra rak'ah in place of the rak'ah where a pillar was omitted. Otherwise, their prayer will not be sufficient, and they will be obliged to repeat it.
