What is the ruling regarding someone who does not perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) with the Imam, despite having caught the prayer from its beginning to its end, knowing that the Imam performed the prostration of forgetfulness due to mistakenly omitting an obligation or repeatedly performing a pillar, according to the madhhab of Imam Abu Hanifa?

If the Imam performs the prostration of forgetfulness (Sujud al-Sahw), the follower must prostrate with him in dependence on him, whether the follower knows the reason for the prostration or not. This is because if he does not prostrate with him, he would be disobeying his Imam. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the Imam is appointed to be followed. So, when he says 'Allahu Akbar,' say 'Allahu Akbar,' and when he prostrates, prostrate."
