What is the ruling on working for public sector companies that operate under non-Islamic laws and legislations and a non-Islamic system in the field of suppressing encroachments and violations of public property?

It is permissible for a Muslim to work for disbelievers according to the majority of scholars, provided that the work does not involve anything forbidden, such as producing alcohol or spying on Muslims. Some scholars stipulated that the work should not be in personal service to the disbelievers. The proof for its permissibility is what Al-Tirmidhi narrated from Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, that he worked for a Jew in exchange for dates. Many jurists have used this hadith as evidence. Therefore, if your work in the company does not involve any religiously prohibited matters, then there is no blame upon you.
