How can the idea of frequent visits to the husband's relatives be conveyed without angering the husband or embarrassing anyone, especially considering that the housing is rent-free?

The independence of a dwelling is a fundamental right for spouses, and the sanctity of homes and observing visitation times are among the etiquettes of Islam.

The difficulty of controlling a non-owned or rented house makes independence in it very hard, especially if the grandfather's house is a family compound.

There is no solution to the spouses' problem except by having their own independent dwelling, even if it is rented and at the lowest cost, and even if it requires hardship or debt.

The wife should consider her assistance to her husband as an act of seeking reward from Allah and endure with him until they can arrange for an independent dwelling. She should also go into her room when there are visitors she does not wish to sit with.
