The answer

Chewing tobacco (shamah) is forbidden in Islamic law due to its harms. Among the reasons for abandoning it are: realizing its prohibition, understanding that it incurs God's punishment, and contemplating its health detriments. What also helps in abandoning it is: humbly supplicating to God for healing from its addiction, and staying away from those who consume it and beautify it.
