It appears that a person's preoccupation with protecting and caring for their child is an excuse that permits them to miss Friday prayer. Jurists have stipulated excuses that permit missing Friday prayer and congregational prayer, among them: fear of losing or damaging property, or fear of its being spoiled, or fear of harm to property or livelihood. Also, attending to a sick person who has no one else to care for them. These excuses are of lesser significance than the fear for a small child and the inability to bring him to the mosque, due to the disturbance that would result for the worshippers. He is not obligated for his wife to leave her work, nor for him to travel with the child to his family, for the religion is ease.
