Must a man continue to visit the children of his deceased brother, despite his wife's refusal and threat of divorce if he goes, knowing that the children are well-off and do not visit their uncle? And what are the consequences if he does go?

The wife does not have the right to prevent her husband from visiting his brother's children and honoring them, nor should the husband abandon this good deed. He should continue to maintain ties with them and show kindness to them, explaining to his wife the virtue of this and that it is a cause of blessings in sustenance and life, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever wishes that his sustenance be expanded for him or his lifespan be extended, let him maintain ties of kinship." The husband's visit to his brother's children does not entail divorcing his wife or making her unlawful, and divorce is in the hand of the husband, not the wife. There is no impediment for the husband to conceal the visit and the ties from his wife out of prudence.
