Is it permissible for a traveler to shorten the prayer if he stays in a house near the mosque and prays behind an imam who offers the full prayer at every call?

Congregational prayer is obligatory, according to the more preponderant opinion, for both the traveler and the resident. Allah prescribed it even during times of fear and travel. If you are close to the mosque, hear the call to prayer (adhan), and are able to go, then pray with the congregation. If the Imam is a resident, then complete the prayer. If a traveler intends to reside in a country for more than four days, he takes the ruling of a resident and is not permitted the concessions of travel, such as shortening prayers (qasr) and not fasting (fitr), according to the majority of scholars.
