The answer

The mother's right to dutifulness does not fall, no matter what she does. One must be dutiful to her and advise her with gentleness and kindness, striving to convince her to stay away from sins, and sit with her, not leaving her idle. If she is not married, the priority is to work towards her marriage. A man who remains silent about indecency committed by his family is a 'dayouth' (pimp/cuckold) whom Allah will not look at on the Day of Resurrection; therefore, he must be advised and alerted to his responsibility. As for money earned from adultery, it is forbidden to consume it. If his money is from sources other than adultery, it is permissible. If his funds are mixed, it is disliked by the majority of scholars, and some say it is forbidden.
