How can one deal with a brother who sleeps through prayers and responds insolently, while the father does not command him to pray, and he imitates his older brother, watches pornography, and asks about fornication and procreation? And how can one deal with a father who dislikes shaykhs, does not go to the mosque, doubts the authenticity of Bukhari’s hadiths, and considers music permissible?
You must continue to invite and advise your family, despite the father's rejection of the invitation. The problem lies with the head of the household, but this should not be an obstacle. We have an example in the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his patience in inviting his family.
The father's lack of response does not prevent one of the children from responding. You should be gentle in your approach when advising and guiding them, strengthen your relationship with them, offer them gifts, and invite them to watch beneficial programs, while avoiding harshness and violence. Be keen to be a role model for them.
Regarding evil deeds, do not be harsh with them, and be gentle in denouncing them. Try to strengthen their faith and religion, and ask Allah for help and pray for their guidance.
