What is the merit of a pregnant or breastfeeding woman, and how accurate is it that her supplications are answered at the time of childbirth, and that her sins are erased thereafter?

The narrations (hadiths) that speak of a special reward for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding are weak or fabricated. However, there is a reward for patience through the hardship of pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, based on the general legal texts that reward a Muslim for harm endured in this worldly life if they are patient and seek recompense from Allah. The prayer of a pregnant woman at the time of childbirth is answered because she is in distress and necessity. A woman who dies while pregnant is considered a martyr, as stated in the hadith narrated by Ibn Majah, Abu Dawud, and others. This is due to the severity and pain of these deaths, and they serve as an expiation for sins and an increase in rewards.
