How can one care for a five-month-old child to make him/her one of the people of the Qur’an and instill love for it in him/her? Should one start by having him/her listen to the Qur’an? And is it better for the mother to recite in her own voice or to play the recitation of one of the reciters?

Among the felicities of a person is being guided to righteous deeds, and among the best of these is investing in one's children and raising them to memorize the Quran, which is one of the greatest acts of nearness [to Allah].

A child can be accustomed to hearing the Quran at an early age by playing recitations from a master reciter, such as Sheikh Al-Husary, or by reciting the Quran near them. When the child reaches an age where they can memorize, they should be entrusted to a proficient memorization teacher. After that, encouraging methods can be used, such as holding a family celebration to honor the child when they memorize a part of the Holy Quran.
