What is the meaning of the word "مؤتنف" (mu'tanif) found in the prophetic Hadith: "O Messenger of Allah, do we act according to what has been concluded, or according to an الأمر المؤتنف (mu'tanif)?"

Renewed: new = resumed = not predetermined = what is initiated. So the meaning of the hadith is: Is what we are doing now predestined eternally, or is it something new?

And the renewed matter: what is initiated. From it: he did such and such just now, as if it were its beginning.

And Allah Almighty said: {They said to those who were given knowledge, "What did he say just now?"}
