Is it permissible to keep money earned from filming an advertisement for a liquor store, and to publish the video as part of my work? And what should I do to purify this money if it is unlawful?

Advertising alcoholic beverages is forbidden by Islamic law because it constitutes aiding in sin and aggression. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed alcohol and whoever aids in its production or promotion. Just as it is impermissible to produce or publish such an advertisement, the money earned from it is also forbidden, as it is a recompense for something forbidden. This money must be disposed of by spending it on general Muslim welfare or on the poor and needy.
