Do the seventy thousand enter Paradise without reckoning or prior torment, and does this include "the one who wronged himself, the moderate, and the foremost in good deeds," or "the moderate and the foremost in good deeds only," or "the foremost in good deeds only"?

Those who enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment are the foremost in good deeds, as indicated by authentic prophetic hadiths. Among them is the hadith of Abu al-Darda, may Allah be pleased with him, which explains the verse: "Then We caused to inherit the Book those We chose of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah." This hadith states that the foremost enter Paradise without reckoning, the moderate are given an easy reckoning, and those who wrong themselves are given a long reckoning, after which Allah's mercy overtakes them.

The sayings of the Companions have supported this understanding, such as the interpretation of the same verse by Ibn Abbas and Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with them both, where they affirmed that the foremost are those who enter Paradise without reckoning.

Scholars affirm that the foremost in good deeds are those who achieved monotheism and were free from major and minor polytheism and innovations, and who abandoned forbidden and disliked things, and strived in acts of obedience, both obligatory and supererogatory.
